The time with our littles flies. Between sleepless nights, making sure kiddos are safe, loved and nurtured we get wrapped up in the daily grind of life. Some moments are joyful, some are challenging and tough. As a mom, I feel it is so important to document our motherhood journey. Take a breather from the daily hustle and treat ourselves to a motherhood session. Even though I am a photographer, even I would get stressed out to plan a session for myself and my kiddos. Between coordinating school schedules, picking out outfits, hyping up kids to be excited for the session. But I am so grateful I did a lifestyle session with my twin girls every year, because I look back at those images all the time. I have them printed for my walls in my office, from each year starting as newborns to now, almost teenager like 6-year-olds. Motherhood sessions are one of my favorites to capture. I love documenting all the little moments, the snuggles, the hugs, the giggles. I want to capture mommas as they are at that time, tell an authentic story and for my images to evoke a feeling of that moment, remember the smell of baby hair, the sounds of your little one giggling, the touch of your little’s hand on your cheek.
Today I wanted to share this beautiful, loving motherhood session that was captured at the beach of Ft. De Soto in St. Pete Florida. Girls had such a fun time picking out flowers for their beautiful momma. The moments were frozen in time, so still, peaceful and tender. This is one of my favorite beach locations, between the texture of the rocks, the epic skies, the golden grass – it is perfect location to capture some magic.
